Make the invoice.
Then get paid.

Most people can fill a Word doc. The stall is the week after — when the work is delivered and the money is not. Afterdue is a free invoice you can print today, and a $19 pack for the asking.

No account. No subscription. Polar handles checkout and tax.

The awkward part

Five messages. One tone problem.

Friendly is easy on day one. Firm is hard on day fourteen. The pack writes the sequence so you are not inventing the sentence at 11pm. This is the shape — not the copy-paste library.

  1. Due date Email + text

    1 · Friendly

Following up on invoice #1042. If payment is already in motion, you can ignore this. If something on the invoice is wrong, reply and I’ll fix it…

FAQ

Straight answers.

Is this legal advice?
No. The contract clauses and late-fee language are templates for you to edit with your own lawyer if the work warrants it. Afterdue is not a law firm. How late fees usually work.
Do I need QuickBooks?
No. The invoice runs in the browser. Print it, PDF it, send it. If you already use QuickBooks, you can still use the chase copy.
Is this only for the US?
Yes, on purpose. USD, US payment rails (Zelle, ACH, Venmo), and freelance norms that assume Net-15 or Net-30. Not localized for VAT or other countries.
Is this a January product?
No. Clients go quiet in March and October too. Afterdue is year-round.
Why not just use Word?
You can. Most people do, then lose the due date, skip the tax line, and write a vague “just circling back.” This is the invoice plus the sequence after it. USD invoice template.
Will you email my client?
No. There is no account and no sending from our servers. You copy, you send, you stay in the thread. How to follow up.
